What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file placed on your browser by a website. It stores information (preferences, session, language) or measures site traffic. Some technical cookies are strictly required — these are the only ones we set by default.
Technical cookies (essential)
These cookies are required for the site to work and are set without consent (legal basis: legitimate interest — article 82 of the French Data Protection Act).
- NEXT_LOCALE — remembers your language (13 months).
- mps-consent — remembers your cookie choice (accepted / declined) so we don't ask again (13 months).
- __cf_bm — Cloudflare anti-bot protection (30 minutes, session).
Cookie-less audience — Plausible
We use Plausible Analytics to count visits and page views. Plausible is a European tool (hosted in Germany) that sets no cookies and uses no identifier that could recognise you. No data is shared with any advertising third party.
- No cookie set, no cross-site tracking, no profiling.
- Full anonymisation: no IP stored, no browser fingerprinting.
Cookie-based audience — Google Analytics 4 (consent-based)
If you accept cookies via the banner, we load Google Analytics 4 with Consent Mode v2 and IP anonymisation on. GA4 sets _ga (13 months) and _ga_* (13 months) cookies. You can decline at any time via the banner — no GA4 cookie will then be set.
Google Consent Mode v2
We implement Consent Mode v2 as required by Google for the European Economic Area: by default all advertising signals are denied (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage = denied). Only functionality_storage and security_storage are granted (site-required). Your explicit banner choice updates these signals.
Manage your preferences
You can change your choice at any time by clearing your cookies (via your browser settings) — the banner will reappear on your next visit. You can also decline non-essential cookies directly in your browser settings (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge — all provide per-site controls).
