MEB → Monaco Chamber of Commerce: what it means for MPS

The Monaco Economic Board is becoming the Monaco Chamber of Commerce: what this changes for Monegasque businesses, for MPS and for its clients.

MEB → Monaco Chamber of Commerce: what it means for MPS

The Monaco Economic Board (MEB), which has long served as the link between the Principality's businesses and international economic players, is moving to a stronger status: it is becoming the Monaco Chamber of Commerce (Chambre de Commerce de Monaco, CCM). For a Monegasque company like MPS, this transition changes the framework of our exchanges with the Principality's business network.

1. From "Economic Board" to "Chamber of Commerce": why the change

For years, the MEB operated as an economic promotion association: international trade missions, connecting its members, themed events and publications on the Monegasque economy. An essential role, but one limited by its status as an association.

The transformation into a Chamber of Commerce institutionalises the structure. A chamber of commerce has traditionally been the reference body representing the businesses of a territory: official representation before the public authorities, a service mission for businesses (training, advice, formalities), and a role in arbitration and mediation. In the Principality, it is a strong signal of the institutional maturity of the private sector.

2. What it changes in practice for Monegasque businesses

Stronger representation. A chamber of commerce maintains an official dialogue with the government and public administrations. Issues raised on the ground (taxation, employment law, health standards, and biocide regulations in our sector) now have a structured channel.

Broader services. Beyond the MEB's existing missions, the CCM will be able to develop support for business creation and transfer, commercial mediation, certified professional training and sector-specific regulatory monitoring. For a company like MPS, regulatory monitoring on biocides and the environment would be particularly useful.

International recognition. Chambers of commerce work in a network with their counterparts abroad (France, Italy, Switzerland, the United Kingdom). For Monegasque businesses serving an international clientele, as in yachting, this visibility is an asset when dealing with foreign partners.

3. MPS and the Monaco Chamber of Commerce

Monaco Pest Solutions was featured by the MEB. A Monegasque SARL (limited liability company) registered with the Monaco Trade and Industry Register (RCI no. 26S10394), MPS naturally has its place in the ecosystem of the future Monaco Chamber of Commerce. Like the Principality's other businesses, we share:

  • a commitment to compliance, which for us means Certibiocide-certified technicians (certificate N121134) and authorised biocidal products;
  • an international clientele that expects standards comparable to those of its home country;
  • a local commitment to the Principality's economic fabric.

We bring our sector expertise to this network: pest control for palace hotels and other hotels, restaurants, yachts, residential buildings and their managing agents, villas, offices and businesses, shops and schools in the Principality.

4. What changes (or not) for you, our clients

Nothing changes in our interventions. The same teams, the same protocols, the same Certibiocide certification (N121134). The move from the MEB to the CCM is institutional, not operational.

A stronger frame of reference. If your company joins the future CCM, you will find it easier to identify reliable Monegasque service providers. MPS, a company registered in the Principality, is part of this local fabric.

Better sector monitoring. Changes in the regulations on biocidal products should be passed on more effectively by the CCM to its members. You benefit from this indirectly through our recommendations, which we keep up to date.

The same traceability. Your intervention reports, signed electronically with photos, and your treatment certificates remain downloadable from your client area, ready to be presented during an audit, to a safety commission or to your insurer. You can also find out more about our certifications and approach to compliance.

5. The other players in Monaco's economic ecosystem

This development is part of an active Monegasque economic ecosystem, which includes in particular:

  • the Direction de l'Expansion Économique (Department of Economic Development): the reference administration for business formalities;
  • Monaco Tech: the Principality's start-up incubator;
  • the Yacht Club de Monaco: a central player in the yachting ecosystem;
  • FEDEM (Fédération des Entreprises Monégasques, the federation of Monegasque businesses): complementary to the CCM in representing employers;
  • the Direction de la Communication (Communication Department): the Government's press relay for major events.

6. A question about protecting your premises?

Key takeaway: the transformation of the MEB into the Monaco Chamber of Commerce changes nothing in our day-to-day interventions, but it strengthens the institutional visibility of the ecosystem in which MPS operates. A positive signal for our clients, and an opportunity for the businesses in our sector to deepen their dialogue with the official Monegasque bodies on regulatory matters.

Whether or not you are a member of the future CCM, your company benefits from our four-step method: a free on-site audit, a personalised action plan, a discreet intervention at the time that protects your business, then a detailed report. After a visit or an initial conversation, we draw up a detailed quote, free and without obligation.

Frequently asked questions

Does the MEB's transformation into a Chamber of Commerce change your services?
No. The same teams, the same protocols, the same Certibiocide certification (N121134): the change is institutional, not operational.
Will the Chamber of Commerce change the rules on biocides in Monaco?
Not directly: biocide regulations are a matter for the public authorities. Above all, a chamber of commerce gives businesses in the sector a structured channel to share their experience on the ground, and it should pass on regulatory changes to its members more effectively.
How can you identify a reliable pest control provider in Monaco?
Check that it is registered, that its technicians are Certibiocide-certified and that it uses authorised biocidal products, backed by reports and treatment certificates. At MPS, the on-site audit and the quote are free: call +377 37 70 70 02.

A question, an infestation, a preventive audit?

Reply and intervention within 6 hours, free quote, in the Principality of Monaco and across the French Riviera.
