Wood-borers dominate: the house longhorn beetle (Hylotrupes bajulus) and the common furniture beetle (Anobium punctatum) attack roof timbers and woodwork, with adults emerging from May to August. Mason wasps (Ancistrocerus spp.) shape their mud cells on exposed terraces and walls during the summer. The European hedgehog (Erinaceus europaeus), a protected species, frequents mature gardens: any intervention deters it without causing harm. Rodents and social wasps complete the summer pressure.
