The hidden cost of pigeons
Heritage degradation. Pigeon droppings are strongly acidic. On a limestone façade (Monaco, Antibes), they attack the stone in a few years. On a balcony or terrace, they clog rainwater drainage, causing infiltration and structural damage. A condominium can accumulate substantial damages of damage in under five years.
